Statement of Faith

1. Scripture
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments pointing to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

2. Trinity
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal.

3. Salvation
We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind. Mankind is sinful by nature and will perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as revealed in His Gospel. God wishes that no one should perish, but that all would come to this saving knowledge through the preaching of the Gospel to a lost and hopeless world.

4. Jesus
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried and was raised from the dead for our justification. By the name of Jesus Christ, and His name only, can mankind be saved. Jesus Christ sits at the Right Hand of the Father and will return personally in power and glory to receive His Church unto Himself.

5. Holy Spirit
We believe in the multi-faceted work of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin, revelation of the truth of the Gospel of Christ, drawing of the sinner to God, adoption of mankind into the Body of Christ through regeneration, and the distribution and administration of the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. Jesus Christ is the “baptizer with the Holy Spirit” for the empowerment of the Church through the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

6. Christian Life
As disciples of Jesus, we are committed to growing in spiritual maturity by walking in the Spirit and not according to the flesh, reflecting the character of Christ in all we do. Christ-like love and Spirit-led living—expressed through our words, actions, and the Gospel—can lead others to repentance, salvation, and a life-giving relationship with God, fulfilling the Great Commission. We seek to be a people marked by grace, humility, and truth, and living in a way that honors Scripture and the mission of the Church.
7. Marriage
We believe God wonderfully created each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as established by God and defined in Scripture. We believe God has forbidden sexual activity outside
of marriage. We believe God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe, through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, sin can be overcome and behavior can be transformed.

8. The Local Church
We believe in the local church as a place where believers gather together for edification, teaching from the Word of God, and ministry to and through each other according to their spiritual gift. The local church provides identity to its members as well as encouragement, fellowship, correction, and discipline.

9. Baptism, Baby Dedication, and Communion
We believe water baptism is a celebration of your decision to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is the outward declaration of the covenant you’ve made with God. We believe baby dedication is not baby baptism, but a time for parents to publicly declare their commitment to raise their children as Christ-followers. It’s a way to encourage and edify the church as we partner with families in faith. We believe communion is a sacred time to remember Christ’s sacrifice, surrender our hearts, and receive His grace.
